You'll see it but your kids won't

A creative advert with a highly adult theme. If you’re under 18, don’t click on this video…I mean it. Well, even if you do, apparently you won’t see it anyway. Look at the funny clown!!

Reaction Japan

I came across this video today and it made me smile. There’s something about intimidating people with an imaginary samurai sword that does it for me.

Mona Lisa Chair

Now here’s something not to be sniffed at, a chair that turns into a piece of art when not in use. Designed by Korean designer Kwang Hoo Lee, a piece like this is bound to spark conversation. Don’t even start me on sitting on Mona Lisa’s face. I’m sure there’s another good reason why she is smirking.

Tap of the Future:

Now here’s a kitchen fitting that I would love! Zaha Hadid was commisioned by the British company Triflow to design ‘The tap of the future’. This is the result. Inspired by the natural flow of liquid, the tap, handle and body merge seamlessly into one. Triflow have patented a 3 way flow system which gives you hot, cold and filtered through the same spout. No more refilling the poxy water filter! If my house was bigger then a escape pod I’d probably buy one of these bad boys!

The NL band Nobody Beats the Drum dropped in to the RedDot showroom today to pick out some wares for the UK leg of their tour. I made an earlier post on their music video for the debut track, which still doesn’t fail to make me laugh. Here’s a picture of them all. Crazy Light Bulbs

With the future of the standard light bulb in the UK being quite topical, I thought it was a good time to show you some alternatives to the energy saving bulbs on the market. I know what I would rather have in my house!!

The levitating light bulb. MY FAVOURITE!

Siamese Bulb by 100%

Slow Glow bulb. I saw this 2 years ago at a Droog shop and it’s very cool. As the bulb heats the mixture inside slowly melts clear then re-solidifies when cooling down.

The Yoshimoto Cube

It’s official…I WANT ONE! Have ordered one from Momo albeit now only on back order. It was invented by Japanese Naoki Yoshimoto in 1971. Made up of eight interconnected cubes, it’s capable of unfolding itself in a cyclic fashion. That means you could keep folding, or unfolding it, indefinitely. Looks damn cool too!

alternatively, if you have enough time on your hands, you can make one yourself using only paper, some tape and scissors
